30 August; Ripcurl Beach Volleyball Competition 2008 at Sentosa Siloso Beach
Just 2 hours of rest and woke up 5am in the morning to meet the rest at Yishun Central Macdonalds for breakfast and one of my teammate, Leon fetched us to Sentosa. Very enjoyable trip there as everyone was taking is super duper exciting lorry. Sitting behind were Benz, Angela, May, JianCheng, GuoFeng, Bihong, Jocelyn & Me. I had to hold the container door throughout the journey or else Jocelyn & me will fly out of the container of the lorry.
Was really damn shocked to see all the net built. The site of the Ripcurl event was great but just the net were built not up to standard. All the net were damn low compared to what we played during the normal days.
Warm-ups and some stroke played before our registration. 7.45am, headed for registration and grab our goodies. What was inside the goodie bag this time? A ripcurl mug, ripcurl sticker, ripcurl tank top and the ripcurl vouchers and stuffs. Gotta our fixture. Team name : X-factor.
Played 3 matches in total. Lost 2 and Won 1.
It was so unlucky that the 1st match my team lost were to an average team which we were better than them. Perharps it was just luck. The scoreline was 20 - 21. It was like WTH!!
2nd Match was against a friend team. They ain't that bad too. Just abit of unluckiness. Scoreline was also the same as the previous. We lost 20 - 21.
3rd Match was against a much more stronger, fierce or perharps a better team. Unexpectedly, we won them 21 - 14. We were actually very confident in winning all the matches as we know sometime in competition, luck is needed as well.
